Ímpetus

Ímpetus Madrid Baroque Ensemble dedicates to the historically informed performance of ancient, baroque, classical and first romantic Music.
This is possible thanks to a group of professional musicians who, led by the conductor and harpsichordist Yago Mahúgo, are brilliantly prepared in the field of Historical Performance Practice on period instruments or replicas of these instruments.
Thus, the fidelity to the musical conventions of the time as well as the performance on period instruments cause the sound of Ímpetus to be substantially unusual, though nearer to the original intentions of the composer.

Besides, in Ímpetus we are open to the discovery of unpublished material and the performance of works not included in our repertoire to enrich our catalogue.
